Mexicanzingo: Our Story

In 2016 the villages of Warwick, Greenwood Lake, Monroe and West Milford needed a good Mexican restaurant. When a building became available, Carlos Morales and his business partner, Luis Barajas, put together an awesome menu of authentic Mexican meals and in May opened their family restaurant, Mexicanzingo.  Being so close to the New York and New Jersey Greenwood Lake beaches, as well as the Mountain Lakes Road beaches in Monroe, summer take-out is a large part of the restaurant’s summer business.  Mexicanzingo is open all year, not just summer.  Any time of the year you can come in and ask for the Mexicanzingo Platter, which is the most popular feature on the menu.  The fresh ingredients that characterize the traditional meals of Mexico like steak, chicken, shrimp, onions, tomatoes, homemade guacamole, rice, beans and salad, make up this mouth-watering Mexican specialty. Conveniently located at 104 Windermere Avenue

(845 595-1737), you can’t miss this red bricked, intimate and friendly looking restaurant.  Mexicanzingo is open seven days a week, and is popular with seasonal Appalachian Trail hikers and Renaissance Faire tourists.  Many www.mexicanzingo.net and Facebook followers agree that, “The friendly atmosphere and authentic Mexican food simply can’t be rivaled.”
